30 years of the Italian Association

The publication "30 Years of the Association of Italians in Tuzla", authored by Tihomir Knežiček, was created as a need to record the systemic activities of members of the Italian community in Tuzla. Systemic activities were achieved by gathering membership and working in the association of citizens, a legal entity that gives legitimacy to the Italian community in the Tuzla region to work to preserve the Italian tradition, culture and language, but also to work to achieve the guaranteed human rights that all minority groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina have, including the Italians in Tuzla. The book contains 19 chapters on a total of 481 pages of text, and was published in Tuzla in 2023 on the occasion of marking 30 years of continuous work of the association of Italians in Tuzla.

"Italians in Tuzla 1880-2019"

The monograph "Italians in Tuzla 1880-2019" (Tihomir Knežiček) was prepared to point out the presence of family members who in some way have Italian origins and who lived or still live in the area of Tuzla and surrounding towns. Another important reason for creating the monograph is to preserve the culture of memory of ancestors who left a deep and indelible mark on their contribution to the development of Tuzla and the region. The third reason for the appearance of the monograph is the reminder of the connections within Italian families that indicate who belongs to whom and what in family trees.

"Building legacy of the Italians Cordignano and Candotti in Tuzla"

A professional paper entitled "Building legacy of the Italians Cordignano and Candotti in Tuzla" was published by Tihomir Knežiček in the magazine Baština Sjeveroisticke Bosna no. 6, Tuzla 2013. The paper describes the construction achievements of Italian masters in Tuzla during the Austro-Hungarian administration. Cordignano and Candotti are construction entrepreneurs, of Italian origin, who during the Austro-Hungarian rule designed and built a significant number of state and private construction facilities in the city of Tuzla. The buildings, built in the style of Romanticism and Neo-Romance, depicted the opulence of ornamentation and the new way of life initiated by the establishment of the Austro-Hungarian administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Tuzla was considered the center of North-Eastern Bosnia and the place closest to the empire's border with Serbia. That is why the area of Tuzla began to be intensively inhabited by residents of Europe who were part of the Monarchy, so experts in the construction profession came to Tuzla to build buildings of various purposes, for the needs of the empire and the population. The Tuzla company "Cordignano i Candotti" was founded, which established itself with its ability to build high-quality and fast construction, and its owners were construction entrepreneurs Cordignano and Candotti. They marked their presence in Tuzla since 1889 by designing and building the Great Gymnasium in Donja Tuzla (Tuzla), building the District Post Office, the Catholic Church, the Commercial Academy, a number of residential and commercial buildings in the center of Tuzla, building a monastery in Plehan, and building houses for their own needs and for the private needs of other influential figures of that time who worked in Tuzla.

The author's research in the period after 2013 has determined that some of the data presented in the paper is not accurate regarding the time periods when certain objects were built.
