On August 2, 2025, the first literary forum dedicated to the achievements that marked the film and literary history of Italy was held at the premises of the UGIP "Rino Zandonai" Tuzla. The focus of the forum is on the influence of literary works on the film industry and the filming of literary works. At the first forum, Blanka Tišma spoke about the work Čočara (Italian: La Ciociara) by Alberto Moravia and the film based on the novel Čočara, directed by Vittorio De Sica in 1960. After presenting Moravia's biography, a screening of the film was presented that faithfully depicts the character of Čočara from the novel of the same name, and the film stars Sophia Loren and Jean-Paul Belmondo. The second literary work presented was "The Roman Woman" by Alberto Moravia, which was written in 1947. The novel is about a young girl from the people, who, after her first love experiences, driven by poverty and an unhealthy social environment, becomes a prostitute. The novel was filmed by director Luigi Zampa in 1954, and the main character in the film is played by Gina Lollobrigida. The third presentation is a review of the works of Mario Puzo and his novel "The Godfather", which was published in 1969. The novel was the inspiration for the trilogy of films The Godfather (The Godfather I, The Godfather II and The Godfather III), which were created in the seventies and were among the most watched films in the world of cinematography. The films describe the relationships and influence of Sicilian crime families operating in the US. The literary tribune was relatively poorly attended, but the impressions from the tribune are very nice. It was organized as part of a project to support national minorities in the City of Tuzla. The second literary forum is planned for November 2025.
