The event "Day of Italian Cuisine in Tuzla" was held on September 6, 2025. in good weather from 19:00 at Trg slobode Tuzla. The event was held as part of the global event "Summer in Tuzla 2025", with the participation of 15 members of UGIP "Rino Zandonai" Tuzla. The association holds the event every year on the first Saturday in September, so in 2025 the 16th event was held. The members prepared more than 25 different gastronomic delights - traditional Italian diaconia. All guests, as in previous years, are offered refreshments and coffee. The atmosphere of the event was extraordinary, many guests, questions about how to prepare, questions "and how much is paid?" and the like. It was a real pleasure to offer the City of Tuzla what the Association has prepared from the Italian gastronomic offer. We were honored with their presence by the Ambassador of Italy to Bosnia and Herzegovina Sarah Eti Castellani, the representative of the City of Tuzla Asja Redžić, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Tuzla Canton Damir Gazdić, a large number of citizens and tourists of Tuzla, and without the members of the Association the atmosphere would not have been complete. There were no incidents, and all the prepared food was distributed. According to estimates, more than 650 portions of savory and sweet dishes were distributed - from specialties to standard cuisine.
The event was financially supported, as in previous years, by the City of Tuzla, the Tourist Board of the City of Tuzla, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Tuzla Canton and Trentini nel mondo, and the logistical support, which is indispensable, was provided by the Tuzla Cultural Center (which provided a public address system, microphones and lighting), the Public Utility Company Traffic and Communications-Tuzla (metal fences and electricity connection), the Public Utility Company Komunalac (which collects garbage) and RTV 7 Tuzla, which filmed and reported on the event. Medical care was organized by the Red Cross of the Tuzla Canton. Given the success of the event, the members of the Association expressed their praise for the achieved results of the event, and we, members of the Italian community in Tuzla, are grateful to the dozens of people who participated - members who prepared food, members who served drinks and coffee, logisticians who transported inventory, set up tables, banners and flags, bought waste in garbage bags, cameramen and other people who in various ways helped to realize the event in a professional and efficient manner. A large number of web portals and Facebook pages published information and photos from the event, which raised the level of public information about the activities of the UGIP "Rino Zandonai" Tuzla.
