Members of the UGIP "Rino Zandonai" participated in the celebration of the European Day of Languages organized by the Elementary School of the Catholic School Center "Sveti Franjo" Tuzla. The commemoration was on 9/26/2025. in the hall of the Elementary School. The event brought together students, teachers and representatives of three citizens' associations that bring together national minorities in Tuzla. Director of the Center dr. Branko Jurić, principal of Žana Altumbabić Primary School, organizers Ljiljana Nikešić and Julijana Kovačević Kotorić, opened this event, emphasizing the importance of community action and promoting diversity. In the year 2025, members of the association of citizens of Italian, Slovenian and Macedonian origin participated in the program - the Association of Citizens of Macedonian Origin "Ilinden" from Tuzla, the Association of Slovenians Tuzla/Slovenska Skupnost Tuzla and the Association of Citizens of Italian Origin "Rino Zandonai" Tuzla. Associations have prepared interesting contents for school students. Thus, as part of the program, language workshops were held, where students had the opportunity to learn language phrases and expressions in Italian, Slovenian and Macedonian, marketing materials were distributed, books in minority languages were shown, and books and cartoons in Italian were brought from the Salina libraries. A poster exhibition was also set up in the school lobby. The exhibition of books in different languages from the rich collection of the school library was prepared by librarian Mladen Bosankić. The event was covered by the media, and visitors enjoyed a diverse cultural and linguistic program that promoted multilingualism and cultural diversity.
