On May 12, 2026, a group of members of the UGIP "Rino Zandonai" Tuzla, citizens of Tuzla and members of SABNOR of the Tuzla Canton, organized a visit to the grave site and monument to Leonard Banker, in Belgrade, at the New Cemetery. The activities were coordinated by Tihomir Knežiček, in agreement with Zoran Banker and the leadership of the Association of Anti-Fascists and NOR Fighters. The hosts of this meeting were Srđan and Zoran Banker, grandchildren of Leonard Banker who live in Belgrade. After agreeing on the time of travel, a bus trip from Tuzla to Belgrade and back was organized.

A total of 46 passengers traveled, and all passengers were extremely satisfied with what they experienced during the trip. Željko Mott and Koviljka Segat laid a wreath of fresh flowers at the memorial to Leonard Banker in front of the UGIP "Rino Zandonai". This was the first time that a delegation from Tuzla came to the memorial erected by the citizens of Tuzla after the opening and renovation of the monument - as it is written on the memorial plaque. The memorial was planned and implemented on 12.5.2026., exactly on the day when Leonardo Banker was buried 90 years earlier after he died the day before in a prison hospital in Belgrade. At the memorial, the president of the Knežiček association addressed those present, talking about the history of the Banker family, from their arrival in Tuzla to their revolutionary activities during World War II, and immediately before World War II. He also presented the history of Leonard Banker's revolutionary activities to those present, the torture he endured in the penitentiary in Tuzla and Sremska Mitrovica, as well as his death in a Belgrade hospital. Zoran Banker also addressed those present, thanking the people of Tuzla for preserving the memory of Leonard Banker. He described his memories of his father and other situations when they talked about how Leonardo Banker was in a hospital in Belgrade, and how he received the necessary dose of blood donated by an unknown blood donor. (Note: in the 1930s, blood was sold in hospitals by volunteers who needed money). Members of the UGIP "Rino Zandonai" knew about Banker's history, but a number of those present did not know Banker's fate. Those present said goodbye to Banker with a minute of silence and left the cemetery.

At the suggestion of a large number of passengers, a visit to the House of Flowers was also made, which was an opportunity to remember Tito's funeral and the greatness of Josip Broz Tito's work. After visiting the museum and the House of Flowers, a short walk around the center of Belgrade took place, and then the group returned to Tuzla.

After the end of the activity, Knežiček was a guest on the TV program podcast RTV TK on May 13, 2026. where, among several topics, was also the topic of commemorating the 90th anniversary of Leonard Banker's death.
