The Mayor of Tuzla, Dr. Sc. Zijad Lugavić and his associates hosted the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Sarah Eti Castellani, at the City Administration on Thursday, June 5. The visit was organized on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Italy - June 2 in Tuzla, and was an opportunity to discuss improving cooperation between Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a special emphasis on connecting cities and regions of the two countries. During the meeting, the possibilities of implementing joint projects in the areas of culture, energy efficiency, digital transformation and modern technologies were discussed. Special emphasis was placed on the renewal of partnerships with Italian cities, as well as on projects that can contribute to the further development of Tuzla and the improvement of the quality of life of its citizens. The importance of preserving multiculturalism and continuous support for national minorities as one of the fundamental values of the city was also emphasized. The meeting was attended by Svjetlana Kakeš, member of the UGIP "Rino Zandonai" on behalf of the City Council, and Tihomir Knežiček, President of the Association.
