"STIVOR ETS" ASSOCIATION

The “Stivor ETS” Association (Circolo Trentini di Stivor) is a non-profit, apolitical association founded in 1997 with the help of the Trentini nel Mondo Association, then led by director Rino Zandonai. The association cooperated with the Trentino community in Stivor because the largest number of members of the Stivor ETC Association came to Roncegno and the region from the town of Stivor near Prnjavor. After a break in activities, the association adapted its activities to the new legislative framework for non-profit organizations in Italy and developed procedures that enable assistance in providing information and documentation for Trentinos who have come from Stivor and Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also provided various types of assistance for the population of Stivor and surrounding towns, regardless of their nationality. They successfully contributed to the recognition of Italian citizenship for ancestors and parents living in Stivor.

In order to optimize activities and better distribute tasks, the club "Circolo Trentini di Stivor" was founded and organized in Štivor. They worked on many projects, such as helping the population during and after the war conflicts in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1990s, building a house for one family in Štivor, providing lighting for the road to the local cemetery, starting and managing the construction of a local water supply system, awarding scholarships to young people from Štivor and much more.

After several years, the association has started a new collaboration with the Trentini nel mondo association and it is expected that from 2024 the collaboration will be more concrete and fruitful. With their own efforts, they have renewed the work of the association-club "Stivor ETS", which is registered with RUNTS and works independently on various projects. The association is open to cooperation with associations and organizations with a similar mission. The current headquarters of the association is located in Roncegno at Via Monte Di Mezzo 15, in a building that once served as a school, with a hall for meetings and celebrations. The association's space is often made available to members for birthday celebrations and other events. The association has a group of musicians who play local music and contribute to the enhancement of celebrations and meetings. The association has a Facebook page and a website where it publishes important information.
