As part of the graduation excursion of high school students from Riva del Garda, a small town near Trento, a visit to Tuzla was made on October 8 and 9. in 2024. Based on earlier agreements with Trentini nel mondo, members of the Rino Zandonai association presented the students with the Trentino community in Tuzla, the history and reasons for coming to the Tuzla region, and how Italians became part of the BiH population. There were 36 students and 3 teachers in the group.

The school was founded as a high school in 1927, and in 1935 it received the name "Liceo Classico". Starting from the school year 1972-73, a scientific and technical high school was established together with the classical high school "Liceo Andrea Maffei". In the 1989-1990 school year, a language high school was also established. Between 1996 and 1997, the educational offer expanded with the establishment of a socio-psycho-pedagogical course. The school was partially transformed in 2010 into a new humanities high school, and in 2015 a music major was introduced. More than 900 students attend the school, and there are about 120 teachers and 30 people for technical and administrative work. The high school consists of two buildings: the main building and the annex. The "Andrea Maffei" high school overlooks Lake Garda, which represents the meeting point of three different regions: Trentino-Alto Adige, Lombardy and Veneto. This position favors the reception of students from different areas: Valle Alto Garda and Ledro communities, Giudicarie, the two eastern and western shores of Lake Garda, the territory of the province of Verona and the province of Brescia. The students presented gifts to the hosts, members of the Rino Zandonai association - traditional eco products of the Trento region and three valuable books on the cultural heritage of the Trento region. Students and teachers were handed tourist material and a booklet in Italian, and the entire material was prepared by the Tourist Board of the City of Tuzla. To show their respect, the entire group sang two Italian songs for the people of Tuzla. Socializing continued during dinner, and the group left for Italy the next day.
