Tullio Gadenz, son of Robert, died in Poljana on 6/26/2024. at the age of 78 from a heart attack, in his home in Poljana. Tullio is the husband of Štefica Gadenz, who is originally from Picolotti. All their lives, Tullio and Štefica worked in Italy in San Martino di Castrozza. They had a family business in the field of hotels and catering. Tullio was a top chef, but also an organizer of affairs and gatherings of like-minded people. After retirement, in 2014, the married couple moved to their own house in the settlement of Poljana, near Kiseljak - Tuzla. The village of Poljana is an autochthonous settlement where members of the Picolotti family live, ever since the arrival of the first Italian settlers in Poljana and Kiseljak. Tullio was good at using the local language, and he did not miss a single opportunity when gatherings of Italians from Tuzla were organized, and especially when there were Days of Italian Cuisine in Tuzla. He was always direct, unobtrusive and ready to cooperate. Although Italian by birth, he adapted well to life in Poljana and Bosnia and Herzegovina, socializing with his brother-in-law Rudik and other neighbors, especially those of Piccoloti origin. One of the interesting photos, which was created on 4/28/2024. at the food festival in Tuzla, best illustrates Tulli's assessment of the gastronomic offer at Trg slobode Tuzla. Tullio is survived by his wife Štefica, sister Margerita, brother Silvano, brothers-in-law Dragan and Rudika. He was buried on June 28. at 2 pm at the Poljana local cemetery.
