The traditional chestnut festival was held on October 28 and 29, 2024 in the streets of Roncegno. The chestnut fair is an opportunity for guests to eat roasted chestnuts and chestnut desserts, but also to visit stands selling typical products and handicrafts. Stalls are set up in almost all the streets of Roncegno, reminiscent of Dalmatian narrow streets paved with stone and surrounded by tall houses with windows full of flowers. A large number of other cultural, touristic and scientific events were held as part of the chestnut festival, as well as meetings of chestnut lovers from all parts of Europe. In the evening, the Eletric Mud group presented themselves to the guests in Piazza Montebello, and then the musical program continued until late at night with a DJ on the VVF terrace in Roncegno. All this, as always, is accompanied by excellent roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and beer. All offers are on a commercial basis.
Members of the association Stivor ETS (CIRCOLO TRENTINI DI STIVOR) from Roncegno took part in the chestnut fair for the first time. Štivorans offered BiH specialties - čevapa and roasted pork. As the members of the association said, everything they prepared, they sold. In order for Italians outside of Italy to experience chestnuts, the Stivor association invited and hosted associations of Italians from Tuzla and Lipik. The extraordinary hosts showed themselves in the best light, for which the people of Tuzla and Lukava are grateful.
