ITALIAN EMBASSY IN SARAJEVO – AMBASSIATA D'ITALIA A SARAJEVO :
The Embassy of Italy in Sarajevo does not support the work of the association and has not provided any kind of assistance in the last five years.
Although the Rino Zandonai association asked for financial assistance for organizing activities (commemoration of the century of Italians in Tuzla on June 3, 2010, Italian Cuisine Day 2010, 2011 and 2012, publication of the book Century of Italians in Tuzla), the embassy donated a total of 0.00 KM.
Help was requested for the purchase of expensive medicine for the association member Petra Simala. After lengthy communication and submission of medical documentation to the embassy, the response to the request was never sent by the embassy, which means that the medicine was not provided.
The cooperation that has been achieved is in the form of an invitation to celebrate the Day of the Republic of Italy, providing information about the elections in Italy and providing information about the state of road safety in Italy.
Given that the embassy does not support any association of Italians in Bosnia and Herzegovina, four associations jointly expressed their dissatisfaction with the attitude of the embassy towards associations of Italians in Bosnia and Herzegovina. On February 7, 2011, the embassy hosted a meeting where representatives of all associations of Italians in Bosnia and Herzegovina were present, and where dissatisfaction with the cooperation with the embassy was expressed. The staff of the embassy promised to improve the cooperation, but there was no positive change.
