Mario Braco Piccolotti, a native of Tuzla, lives in his house in the immediate vicinity of the tennis courts at the Tuzla Spa. Mario is a vital and resourceful host, who, even in his later years, does not neglect his skills and says "there is no machine that I cannot repair". He was born on 1.4.1942 in Tuzla to a stonemason father, Rinaldo Luigi Điđik Poccolotti, and a mother, Marija Grimm. Mario worked as a craftsman at the TTU Tuzla, mines in Banovići, Đurđevik and Kreka, and at the Tuzla Mining Institute until 1999 when he retired. His wife, Katalin Kovočz, of Hungarian origin, came from Vojvodina to Tuzla where she graduated from trade school. He is not in good health. Mario and Katalin have a daughter, Silvia, who lives in Italy, and a son, Dario, who lives in Germany. Mario has a brother Viktor who lives in Tuzla, a sister Mira Marković who lives in Tuzla, and his sister Melita, born in 1939, suddenly fell ill with muscular dystrophy, died and was buried in 2002 in Feltre, Italy. The conversation with Mario allowed us to supplement the data on the Piccolotti family, as much of the information obtained during the conversation was unknown to the Italian community in Tuzla. The visit was also used to record video material for a documentary film about Italians in Tuzla.
